Project
The new business owner was eager to build his brand, starting with logo design and then website development. He was receptive to all branding suggestions, as the digital world was uncharted territory for him and he needed hands-on help establishing an online presence. While he didn't have any firm requirements for his logo or website, he would recommend changes to better align his brand.
How I tackled the task
When embarking on a new project from the ground up, a common inquiry arises: where should I start? Given that each project is unique, clients anticipate distinct outcomes from you compared to others. Therefore, I prioritize attentive listening to the client's requirements to outline the various stages of the project. I maintain a close relationship with my clients, keeping them informed about my progress and the anticipated timeline for project completion.
I built and optimized the website to look great on all devices. Then I sent the owner a preview link so he could review it and note any issues. He provided a list of edits, which I promptly made. Once all the changes were complete and he approved, we launched the site live. When moving a website from your local laptop to the actual host, there can be small differences, so I had to be extra careful everything rendered perfectly.
Then I performed a QA and testing to ensure the website was ready to be launched on search engines. This part is crucial for SEO and accessibility. When I had all the green lights I finally registered the website on all search engines.
Now I closely monitor the website's performance and how it affects the business' growth.
